Case Study
INTEGRA® SEED GUIDE
The annual INTEGRA Seed Guide is both a major publication and a working product-selection tool. It brings together corn, silage-corn and soybean information, agronomic ratings, product highlights, technical stewardship language and brand messaging.
My work expanded from publication design into building a more structured publishing system for the guide and related digital product content.

The Challenge
The guide has to organize a large amount of specialized information without becoming visually overwhelming. It also requires coordination among product managers, seed operations, trait providers and external reviewers.
Key constraints included:
- Multiple seed crops and product families
- Dense comparison tables
- Agronomic and disease ratings
- Trait and technology trademarks
- Stewardship requirements
- Annual lineup changes
- Print and digital outputs
- Website product-data reuse
- Detailed compliance review
Transforming dense agronomic data into a unified print and digital experience
My Approach & Contributions
The 2027 guide features the message “Plan with Purpose. Plant with Power” and was designed around product evaluation rather than simply listing hybrids and varieties.
Opening content established the INTEGRA value proposition around local testing, global genetics, placement and agronomic support. Product sections then used repeatable rating systems and structured information so growers and sales teams could compare products more efficiently.
I managed both the visual publication and much of the supporting production system:
- Overall publication design and layout
- Information hierarchy
- Product pages and comparison structures
- Data preparation
- Excel field mapping and imports
- Trait and trademark updates
- External compliance review
- Print-production files
- Digital product-page integration
- Supporting product bulletins and promotional materials
Behind the guide, I developed standardized product fields and import structures for maturity, GDU data, traits, disease ratings, soils, management response, highlights and SEO content. The supporting import and field-map files demonstrate how the work evolved into a maintainable publishing model rather than remaining a manually rebuilt booklet.

The Results

The achievement is not simply that I designed a seed guide. It is that I turned dense agronomic data into a clear, repeatable information system, then extended that structure across print and digital product experiences.
The finished system connected:
- Long-form seed-guide publication
- Structured product data
- Reusable rating formats
- INTEGRA and Harvest Bounty product imports
- Website product templates
- Product bulletins
- Promotional-program materials
- Trait and stewardship compliance
- Supporting social content
The website template also used reusable shortcode-based sections for seed headers, highlights, agronomics, soil, disease, rotation, water and management information.
The project created greater consistency between the printed guide, product workbooks and website content. Structured data reduced dependence on isolated manual layouts and created a foundation for updating seed products more reliably across channels.
The guide also went through detailed external review for trait names, licensing language, stewardship content and required insert advertising, showing the level of technical and regulatory coordination involved.
